Chief Executive Officer and Chair of Board of Education

Ìý

Rui Correia is currently Chief Executive Officer for ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA, having the global responsibility to manage the Association from January 2025 onwards.

He is also Chair of the Board of Education for ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA since August 2018.

Rui spent the first 25 years of his career working in dealing rooms, having had roles in trading, structuring and sales in internationally recognised financial institutions, in London, Madrid and Lisbon. From 2014 onwards, Rui became a Certified Trainer in financial markets, working primarily on the delivery of MiFID II related training to several market participants in Iberia.

With a Master in Finance, Rui believes that education is absolutely key for the development of all professionals working in the industry, both to develop their skills and knowledge on the markets and its products, but also to enhance the good practices which are essential for the sound functioning of financial markets.

Patricia Casal

Senior Head Office Manager

Patricia Casal, a native of Spain and France, is the Head Office Manager at ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA. With a strong foundation in French studies from the Official School of Languages in Galicia, Patricia moved to London, where she spent four years gaining valuable experience as a Front Office Manager in the hotel industry.

Her tenure in London and Paris allowed her to develop a comprehensive expertise in hotel management, which she later expanded by transitioning to administrative roles across various companies. This diverse experience eventually led her to the banking sector, where she first became acquainted with the ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA.

Drawn by the association’s rich history, spirit, ethical values, and mission, Patricia joined as an Administrative Assistant. Her dedication and competence quickly led her to higher responsibilities, culminating in her role as ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA Head Office Manager and, as of April 2024, ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA Senior Head Office Manager.

With over 15 years of involvement in the association, Patricia brings a wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to managing the Head Office, supporting the Management Board, the President, and the Councillors.

Gavriela Fraseri

Gavriela Fraseri

Education Manager

Gavriela Fraseri joined ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA in March 2021 as a Head Office Assistant and has played a key role in strengthening the association’s education initiatives. Through her dedication and contributions, ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA has expanded and enhanced its educational offerings, reinforcing education as a core value of the association.

Having evolved within the organization over the years, she was promoted to ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA Education Manager in April 2025.

With a strong international and multicultural background, Gavriela has previously held roles as Store Manager, Office Manager, and Executive Assistant, gaining diverse experience in organizational management. She holds a Bac +4 in Sociology from Panteion University of Athens, a Higher Diploma in Project Management from the International Business Management Institute of Berlin (Online), and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Fluent in English, Greek, and Albanian, she also has a high level of French.

Aoife McSweeney

Aoife McSweeney

Head Office Assistant

Aoife McSweeney joined ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA in September 2023 as Head Office Assistant.

Originally from Ireland, Aoife holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce International with French from University College Cork. She completed an academic year abroad at Grenoble IAE, Graduate School of Management. In her final year of university, Aoife majored in management and marketing and graduated with honours. She recently decided to move to Paris to start her career and further develop her French language skills.

Aoife is an enthusiastic and innovative person.

Maria ChavezMC

Head Office Assistant

Maria Chavez joined ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA in September 2024 as Head Office Assistant.

Maria brings a diverse and international background to the ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA team. She holds a master’s in international strategic management from Université Paris Nanterre. She has participated in Erasmus programs at institutions like Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy, and Univerzita Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic.Ìý

Her professional journey spans across multiple countries and industries. Before joining ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA, Maria worked remotely as an International Business Developer in Canada, where she built strong client relationships and provided tailored solutions. She has also held roles such as International Business Developer in the Tech Sector in Mexico and the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco, CA, where she facilitated strategic alliances and foreign investment opportunities in Silicon Valley.

Maria is fluent in English and Spanish, with advanced proficiency in French, and is known for her problem-solving skills, proactivity, and customer-focused approach. She is excited to contribute her international experience and dedication to the ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA team.

Sobia Abdul

Sobia Hamour

Head Office Assistant (Part-time)

Sobia started her professional career as a sales advisor in a library but willing to take a new turn in her career and improving her administrative skills, she decided shifting towards an executive assistant training in 2017.
As soon as she completed her training, Sobia joined ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý France as executive assistant, where she also supports the associations COSSIOM and CNO. All of them involved in financial markets activities.
With her experience, Sobia was soon required to assist ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA in various administrative tasks including assistance on the creation of the ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA calendar, a useful tool listing public holidays around the world.

While continuing with her usual duties, Sobia joined in June 2020 the secretariat ÓÀÓ¯ÌåÓý FMA team in part-time basis, reinforcing the already existing team.

Sobia is a motivated and dynamic person and a valuable team player.
